Anniversary

One year ago today I had my LAST chemotherapy treatment!!!!!

Next week I have my first mammogram since I finished all things cancer in December of last year. Then at the end of September I have a PET/CT scan followed by an appointment with my Oncologist. All of this is normal follow up, but these are the first invasive (look at my insides) tests I have had since all was finished last year. I am a little tense and just the thought of walking into the building where my Oncologists office is makes me want to loose my lunch.

To me the goings on of the next month or so are a big marker. That if all is well, and there is no reason to think otherwise, I will be able to exhale, really really exhale for the first time in a long long long time.

And then what? Who knows...

Interesting what happens...

when you take a roll of film in to have it developed. These are some photos from the roll. They are really old. In fact they are from when I was pregnant, really really pregnant, and we lived in our old house in Oakland.

Josh and Satchel cuddled up in the kitchen. I think Josh was the one cuddling.

Bear was such a happy boy.

Lucy in my belly. That seems centuries ago. I love being pregnant. Marnie says I have selective memory. Maybe.

A blurry shot of tiny Lucy (that's her on the boppy pillow all bundled up in a hat and jammies that were way to big) and I just after we got home from the hospital.

Brilliant!

We love this show!

It is smart, funny, interesting and gives the viewer a peek at people and food most of us never get to experience. Alton Brown is a master!

The Girl

Photos of Lucy that are way way past due...

She loves to swing.

Napping on our trip was a challenge except when we were in the car. She is holding all of the things she sleeps with when we are home. On the far left is Maurice the monkey, in the center Blu Bunny, and on the right is Snuggly. I love that sweet face.

Trying to escape the southern heat.

She found our Atlas and decided to help us plan our trip.

Farewell

My sweet kitty Hazel passed away last Wednesday. She was only 9 and this was sudden to say the least. I will spare you all the details needless to say there is a huge void left in our family. I will miss this sweet dramatic funny petite kitty.
