The Training and Fundraising Begins

As I have said here before, I will be walking in San Francisco on September 5th in the Breast Cancer 3-Day. My training has begun.
I am walking at the gym 3 days a week right now. But pretty soon
my schedule will get me outside on trails and roads with more and
more challenging walks. I will even have a few days later this
summer where I will be walking 20 miles in one day!

I have been working hard creating my personal page on the 3-Day website. I finally finished and here is the link: http://08.the3day.org/goto/ramsey. This page shares my story
and my fund raising progress.

When I was fighting my own battle with breast cancer many of my friends and family rallied to help. They cooked, cleaned my house, babysat and much more. I am again asking for support from friends, family and even perfect strangers as I take this amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

So, please pledge your support. Just click on this link http://08.the3day.org/goto/ramsey and then scroll down the page and you'll see a button that says "Donate to Ramsey". It's that simple. Remember, every donation, no matter the size, contributes to the fight against breast cancer.

Holiday with Family

Marnie, Lucy and I spent some time yesterday at a delightful park in Tiburon. The park is on the bay and we watched the seals and fishing boats work for a while. It was a lovely day with my little family.

I officially start training for the 3-Day tomorrow. I have 30 weeks to get ready. Anybody out there ever done this before your advice and encouragement are greatly welcome.
