I’ve been hit by Alexandra Samuel. Rather than using a social media service that’s new to her, I figure I’d put this on a blog that’s probably new to her.
First, here are the rules for the game:
Now, here are my seven things:
Okay. I’m going to break the rules now and not tag anyone. But if you’re reading this, I’d love it if you’d share seven things — linking back to this post so I know about ‘em. If you don’t have an Internet room of your own, you can drop your seven things in the comments.

"He stopped commenting on this oddness of hers. She said the news clippings she sent to friends were a perfectly reasonable way to correspond. There were a thousand things to clip and they all said something about the way she felt. He watched her read and cut. She wore half-glasses and worked the scissors grimly. Oh, Marnie, you’re such a good netizen it’s humbling. Heeding the call-to-meme, and yet resisting the urge to inflict/pay it forward.
So, a sailboat. What kind of bet could we come up with that has a twenty-year payoff horizon?
And you’re right, I didn’t know about this blog. I was already totally humbled by your prolificness on 337. Now I am just too daunted — I am giving up and going offline forever. Goodbye, Internet.
